Getting to Sunset, SC

190 Village Green Loop, Sunset, SC 29685

via Greenville, SC

(closest airport)

South Carolina's Greenville-Spartanburg Airport (GSP) is a one-hour drive from the Reserve and 20 minutes from downtown Greenville. This is the suggested airport for those arriving from NYC and Chicago, as Delta and United fly multiple direct flights to GSP each day. An additional benefit to GSP is avoiding traffic - the drive to Lake Keowee is mostly scenic country roads.

via Atlanta, GA

(Max's hometown)

Georgia's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) is accessible to most by direct flight. Without traffic, the drive from ATL to Lake Keowee takes about 2.5 hours, though the notorious Atlanta rush-hour traffic will add about an hour to the drive (don't worry, you'll pass at least 10 Chick-fil-A's along the way if you need a snack break). For folks traveling from the west coast, this is likely going to be your most flexible direct option.

via Charlotte, NC

(Grace's birthplace)

North Carolina's Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is also accessible by direct flight. Without traffic, the drive from CLT to Lake Keowee takes about  2.5 hours, though traffic can add 30 minutes to the drive. You'll pass right through Greenville on your way, so this is probably the second best option for folks staying overnight in downtown Greenville.

Please note: Regardless of which airport you choose to fly into, we suggest either renting a car or carpooling with another group flying in around the same time. Getting an Uber/Lyft to pick up from Lake Keowee can be a challenge (you'll soon see why...). We're happy to put you in touch with other guests flying in from out of town if you'd like to coordinate a carpool.
